Educate the girl child
What are the makings of an ideal Indian girl?
She cooks well, cleans the home, serves the family and never challenges authority. The gender role brainwashing begins early but the after effects last a life time.
Society operates with this regressive mentality and the baggage is carried by the daughters of this nation. While one sibling dreams of riding cars and boarding planes, the girl child's dreams are replaced by mundane and indoctrinated realities.
How can we change this?
Make the reader feel responsible for her plight. That we all are a part of this state-of-mind, which altered her mind and the course of her life.
Her head is full of our mistakes.
